CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

(SEJONG=Yonhap News) The Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy and Ministry of Environment have selected Inje City (Gangwon Province), Eumseong County (North Chungcheong Province), Boryeong City (South Chungcheong Province), Wanju County (North Jeolla Province), Jeju City and Seosan City (South Chungcheong Province) as eco-friendly energy towns.

The eco-friendly energy towns will supply renewable energy including solar power and bio gas to the residents to promote energy independence, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase household income.

In 2014, three cities have been designated as eco-friendly towns and 10 more cities were chosen in 2015. To date, a total of 19 cities and counties have been selected as eco-friendly towns.
