(JECHEON=Yonhap News) The organizing committee for the 2017 World Oriental Medicine Bio Expo scheduled to be held in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province agreed on a final draft of the event's operation plan on May 18, launching a full-scale effort to make all venues ready for opening day.

Spanning 266,000 square meters of land, the event grounds will be divided into 6 zones for 'greeting and welcoming,' 'education and experience,' 'business and results,' 'culture and scents,' 'sharing and resting,' and 'history and roots.'

Visitors will also be able to experience an old medicinal herbs market, take pictures at photo zones installed at the bio park or symbolic flower towers, and rest at various convenience areas.

Under the them ' Reinventing Oriental Medicine: Evolution into the Oriental Bio Medicine Industry,' this year's event will take place at the Oriental Medicine Expo Park in Jecheon from September 22 to October 10.

The committee aims to attract 800,000 visitors to the wide range of exhibitions, experience events and academic forums.
