(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) North Chungcheong Province announce February 14 that a group of 17t Vietnamese tourists from Hanoi will be arriving that evening at the Cheongju International Airport on a VietJet Air chartered plane.

This will be the first time a tourist group from Vietnam to visit the Korean province via chartered flight.

The group will stay for 5 days and 4 nights, and visit Cheonju's museums and cultural heritage sites, as well as go on an excursion to Seoul.

On February 16, a group of 156 tourists from Taiwan's capital Tapei will arrive at the Cheongju International Airport on Far Eastern Air Transport's chartered plane to tour the province.

Taiwan is the third largest of tourists after China and Japan, and Vietnamese tourists to Korea recently increased by nearly 30 percent, a representative of the province government noted.
