HL Green Power Signs to Invest KRW 31 Bln in Chungju

According to Yonhap News,
(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) North Chungcheong Province and Chungju City signed an investment agreement worth KRW 31 billion with HL Green Power on February 26.
HL Green Power is a joint venture between Hyundai Mobis and LG Chemical that produces battery packs a key part for making electric vehicles and hybrid cars.
The company plans to expand its factory in West Chungju to increase its battery pack output, and expectes to hire 225 employees.
A representative of Chungju noted that the province will actively support the company with necessary administrative procedures.
