(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) On April 27, Chungju City, Chungbuk-do, opened an Experiential Tourist Center in the Tangeumho International Coordination Arena Marina Center to professionally manage the city's tourism information and resources.
The city opened the center in order to provide accurate tourist information for every season, duration and theme as well as to comprehensively manage the city's tourism resources.
The center also develops customized tours to attract foreign tourists.
The center will also have an exhibit hall, in charge of all the information related to traveling in Chungju.
The exhibit hall will also have a V-touch zone with motion recognition, a photo display zone with a bus concept and a coloring postcard experience zone based on the cultural resources of Chungju.
Last month, the center operated a "sensational bus tour" that attracted more than 200 tourists last month.
Chungju Major Cho Gil-hyung said, "We will develop programs that link existing resources and the recently opened ones such as Light World to increase synergy for the region's tourism industry."
