(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) On July 23, Chungbuk-do and Cheongju City signed investment agreements with 6 bio and health companies worth KRW 18 million.
The 6 companies include G2G Bio, Optolane, Bio Prism, Jung COS, Os Bio and Regencare.
All of them are innovation companies, establishing research centers and production bases in Osong Bio Valley.
The companies are expected to hire 223 employees.
Last month, Chungbuk-do, Osong Medical Innovation Foudation, Chungbuk Industry University Cooperation Institute and the Chungbuk Korean Free Economic Zone Authority formed a Bio Corporate Investment Promotion Team to attract companies to the area.
The investment agreements are the team's first successful case of investment attraction.
