Chungju to Establish National Industrial Complex for Bio-healthcare Industry

According to Yonhap News,

(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) Chungju City is pushing forward to establish a bio-healthcare national industrial complex.

The City signed an MOU with Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization (KoreaBio) on October 30 at the City Hall.

Both organizations will work together to establish Chungju Office of KoreaBio in the industrial complex and to provide information to and attract bio companies in order to be designated as Bio-healthcare national industrial complex in earlier stage.

In addition, they agreed to cooperate mutually to foster and promote bio industry.

KoreaBio is an organization to promote technological development and industrialization.

"We will strive to develop Chungju as a central city for bio industry through early designation of national industrial complex," said Cho Gil-hyung, Mayor of Chungju.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport selected Chungju as a candidate city for the national industrial complex on August 31.
