(JECHEON=Yonhap News) The City of Jecheon announced on November 14 that it held an seminar to attract investment in the Jecheon Third Industrial Complex at the Grand Hall of the Korea Federation of SMEs in Seoul.
The city actively promoted that the complex is the best investment destination for companies relocating offices from the capital area.
Companies directly hiring more than 500 employees will be provided with the site of 99,173 square meters at no cost.
The city also noted that it has achieved investment agreements worth KRW 180 billion through the event.
"We need to attract investment in order to strengthen the structure of industries and secure new driving force for future growth," said Lee Sang-cheon, Mayor of Jecheon. "I hope it serves as a starting point for us to attract more investments in the Third Industrial Complex."
Jecheon and Chungbuk Development Corporation plans to build the Third Industrial Complex on a plot of 1.09 million square meters in Bongyang-eup by 2020.
