(CHEONGJU=Yonhap News) The "Provincial Committee for the Cultivation of Chungbuk Aerospace and Tourism Industries" was launched on December 13, comprised of 50 personnel including experts in aerospace, logistics and transportation and people from private social organizations.

The Committee will facilitate the construction and improvement of Cheongju International Airport's infrastructures, promote the government to make policies toward balanced development of aerospace and tourism industries between regions, and create conditons to attract more tourists.

The Committee urged the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(MOLIT) to quickly approve the international airport cargo transportation business license of airlines based in Chengju airport.
