(EUMSEONG=Yonhap News)Eumseong-county, Chungbuk-province announced on February 13 that it was selected for "Ecosystem Conservation Fund Return Projects" by Ministry of Environment, and secured KRW 500 million to recover ecosystem of city park, Oseon-ri, Geumwang-eup.

The Ecosystem Conservation Fund Return Projects covers 20 places in 11 cities and provinces nationwide this year, and Eumseong-gun is the only place selected in Chungbuk-do.

Due to unruly cultivation and waste dumping, it has not been able to perform its function as a park.

Eumseong-gun plans to build a resting place and trail facilities in which experience and education of ecosystem is available.

A county official said "we will continue to find out the project that can be funded by the Ecosystem Conservation Fund Return Projects to make cleaner environment".
