(CHUNGJU=Yonhap News) Chungbuk-do held an Investor Round Table Session with 150 attendees including CEOs of companies and Global EV Association Network (GEAN) members on May 7, a day before the opening of the 6th International Electric Vehicle Expo in Jeju.
Chungbuk-do official explained a future vision of connecting Osong, Cheongju which lies in the center of X-shaped transportation network with the Eurasian continent through inter-Korea railways.
He also pledged an active administrative support to ensure investment in Chungbuk turns into great success, introducing secondary cell-related companies such as LG Chemicals, Ecopro, SK Innovation, and a car maker Woojin Industrial Systems and Daechang Motors, as a infrastructure for EV.
He promoted six new growth engine industries including bio, solar power/new energy, cosmetics/beauty, organic/food, new transportation/aerospace, ICT convergence industries, and establishment of hydro energy cluster.
The International Electric Vehicle Expo is held at Jeju Convention Center on May 8-11.
Chungbuk-do runs a promotion booth to promote the auto industry of the province.
