According to Yonhap News,
North Chungcheong Province hosted a business meeting on Feb. 3, attended by dozens of private-public representatives to share thoughts and strategies to jump into niche markets in China, in the midst of a corona virus outbreak, which has swept across the world, to help local businesses in bio-health industry.
The province reached a consensus on a full policy support for bio- health businesses to find export channels to sell medical supplies and therapeutic herbs like jinseng in overseas markets. By doing so, businesses will have more chances to join international sourcing and form global sales networks in India or Mongolia (instead of China) to diversify business portfolio under the government’s New Southern or Northern policy.
Local authorities will visit and give helps to local exporters in fear of disruption due to the infectious disease coming from China. And they’ve already agreed to open a monthly in-depth discussion inviting business leaders of eight different sectors- starting from bio-health, non-memory semiconductors, machinery, electronics, chemical products, plastic materials, agriculture products, steel and non-steel products, cosmetics and vehicles.
