According to Yonhap News,

Goesan-gun in North Chungcheong Province announced the launch of its own version of new deal project, which entails a dozen of community remediation programs that extend to the old towns in Goesan-gun(152,581㎡). Under such plans, the authorities spend as much as KRW16.8 billion on home and neighborhood repairing services: forming lodging spaces for tourists, day-care centers and car-free streets etc. to help business activities inch upwards, showing vigor in the community.

Starting from a renovation project to reuse old buildings for a new accommodation venue (suburb hotels), Goesan-gun will break ground on the next stage to put an end to it by the end of 2023.

An official said “The community revitalization project is anticipated to improve the living conditions in town, gentrifying community amenities.”
