CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

The city of Chungju in North Chungcheong Province signed a KRW 20 billion worth of investment deal with JEONGIL, an elevator parts supplier, on Mar 10. JEONGIL unveiled a plan to build out its second production facility on a 11,604㎡ site (gross area: 8,104㎡) within Chungju Industrial Cluster by the end of 2023, adding approximately 70 new jobs.

The CEO said “Hyundai Elevator’s recent business transfer to Chungju city, in deed, helped us reconsider investment in the city, a way to make the best out of geographical proximity, while sharing local resources and forming regional business alliances with nearby manufacturers.

“We’d like to provide all forms of administrative supports not only for Hyundai Elevator but for other business partners so as to let them well settle into the community.”, the city mayor said.
