According to Yonhap News,
Goesan-gun in North Chungcheong Province signed an MOU on Apr 1 with BGF Retail, running one of the largest convenience store chain in Korea, CU, over marketing collaboration. Both gave a nod of agreement to promote agro products grown and processed within Goesan-gun community via BGF Retail ads. Both also pledged to co-develop organic home meal replacement (HMR) for sale full of nutrient-rich ingredients sourced from freshly harvested Goesan crops and vegies.
They’ve partnered last year to run collaborative marketing to release Goesan Bibimbab, using waxy corn grown in Goesan-gun.
“The waxy corn Bibimbab, made in Goesan and released by CU convenient stores have helped customers learn more on and taste locally harvested fresh food, giving a sales boost to local farmers as well. We’ll find better and more marketing strategies to create synergy between Goesan-gun and BGF Retail.” said an official.
