A business project devised to encourage further adoption of automation technologies in manufacturing has been picked out as part of national development initiatives, of which the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) is in charge, said North Chungcheong Province and Chungbuk Technopark on Apr 1. The project which helps businesses adopt, further advance and finally optimize standardized automated manufacturing model, specifically developed by the trade ministry ensures smart automation technology to offer full robotic integration for locally based manufacturers in demand.
Spending as much as KRW5 billion adding national budgets allocated, the provincial government is planning to run a business feasibility assessment targeting 21 businesses, moistly involved in cosmetics or food and beverage production, located in Cheongju , Chungju, Jecheon, Eeumseong, Jincheon and Okcheon City.
“By continuing to run the smart automation projects in the community, we’d like to fuel the growth of knowledge services and value-added automation business within the districts.”, an official said.
