CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Geosan-gun, Chungbuk-do said on July 12 that it held Agricultural Product Export Business Meeting on June 29 by inviting foreign buyers staying in Korea, achieving 72 cases of business meetings.

The amount of business meetings, committed for contract in five years (in such products as seasoning, sauce, red pepper powder, flower, and seaweed) is worth USD 7.97 million.

Of the above amount, estimated contract amount in one year is worth USD 1.54 million.

In the event, 18 companies and organizations located in Geosan had online and offline consultation with 22 foreign buyers from 17 countries including Turkey, India, and Zambia.

For instance, Mimi food signed an export contract worth USD 40,000 with Ocean Tree from Singapore.

An official from Goesan-gun said "Local companies and foreign buyers expressed great satisfaction, and most of them wanted to participate again in next business meetings."

Geosan-gun office targets to export USD 4.1 million agricultural food products, and plans to hold business meetings, support logistical cost for exporting fresh agricultural products, and support packaging products for exporting agricultural products.
