North Chungcheong Province will advance the equipment of Chungbuk Technopark(TP) to support small and medium-sized enterprises in regional key industries.
The province said that its project -'equipment advancement to provide technical support to the main industries in Chungbuk'-was finally selected in the 'Technopark production equipment advancement project' competition hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The project aims not only to improve aging equipment owned by Technopark, but also to resolve practical difficulties related to production and technology of SMEs by purchasing new equipment needed by companies in the main industries of the region.
Chungbuk TP plans to improve or build equipment related to the main industries or companies have continuous demand for.
The total project cost is KRW 1.16 billion and the project period is set until June 2022.
This year, six bio-health industry equipment will be built for the purpose of resolving technical difficulties in R&D and joint utilization.
Fermentors and centrifuges will improve the performance of existing equipment. Freeze dryers, colony counters, Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES), and microwaves will be newly installed.
The Province expects that the advancement of equipment will serve as a basis for the growth of companies in the region's major industries and enhance technological achievements.
