Chungbuk-do is to push for a project to 'support development of radiation device leading technologies' for timely establishment of multipurpose synchrotron radiation, set to be established in Ochang, Cheongju, and creation of growth of relevant industries.
Chungbuk-do is to make announcement of this project for a month starting from October 1. Then it will receive online applications from SMEs and middle market enterprises in Chungbuk Province from October 25 to November 11.
The public contest can be participated solely by a company or by a consortium of industries, academia, and research institutes. The province will conduct document screening, inspection on site, and evaluation on presentations, to announce the selected in early December.
The selected companies will receive support in 13 areas related with synchrotron radiation. The project cost will be up to KRW 100 million for a sole participant, and up to KRW 150 million for a consortium.
The province plans to hold a briefing session on the project at Chungbuk Technopark on October 13 to help companies understand the project.
The province plans to facilitate commercialization and development of technologies related with synchrotron radiation, and attract investment from specialized companies.
