CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Sturgeon Bio, which produces medical supplies with sturgeon extract, is set to move into Okcheon Techno Valley, Chungcheongbuk-do.

Okcheon-gun said on February 28 that Sturgeon Bio will invest KRW 42.2 billion on a site of 10,212 square meters to build a plant with the goal of construction completion in May next year.

The company is said to hire 120 new employees.

Sturgeon Bio, headquartered in Cheongju, is known for extracting water-soluble oil raw materials from sturgeon, for the first time in the world.

Chungbuk-do's governor, Ohckeon-gun's governor, and CEO of Sturgeon Bio signed an investment agreement at the Provincial Office.

Sturgeon Bio pledged to include a local construction company in the construction of its plant.
