The Chungbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (CBFEZ Authority) announced on May 5 that it had completed the sale of industrial land in the Osong Biopolis District (Osong 2nd Industrial Complex) six years after it started first sale in 2016.
By signing a contract on the industrial site (27,000 square meters) with PCM, a foreign-invested company manufacturing auto parts, the CBFEZ Authority achieved 100% sales of Osong 2nd Industrial Complex Site.
The Osong Biopolis District was created for the integration of bio, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic-related companies.
It concluded sales contracts with 60 biotechnology (BT) related companies, 16 information and communication (IT) related companies, 15 high-tech industry related companies, 13 research companies, and 1 logistics company.
Of the 105 companies slated for occupancy (including 13 foreign-invested companies), 38 have factories built and operating.
31 are building factories.
The CBFEZ Authority plans to accelerate settlement environment creation for foreigners by utilizing commercial and support facility sites.
