Seven cosmetic companies in Chunbguk-do participated in '2022 Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna', achieving export contracts and business meetings.

Chungbuk-do said on May 4 that these companies made such achievements as pursuing 73 contracts worth KRW 4.1 billion and 383 business meetings worth KRW 30.4 billion at this event, which is known to be the world's largest cosmetics and beauty expo.

Companies include Beauty Collagen, Biopolytech, Farm Skin, Korea Research Institute of Bio Science, Samjo Industries, Mignon, and Numeruno.

At the exhibition, the companies exhibited products such as hair, makeup, skin, cosmetics, perfume, and nails.

The province plans to promote the excellence of cosmetics produced in the province and expand opportunities for entry to foreign markets to ensure this kind of achievements to lead to one another.

A provincial official said, "Korea's cosmetics exports in 2020 amounted to KRW 8.28 trillion, making it the third largest exporting country in the world only behind France and the United States," adding that "we will enhance global marketing capability to foster the cosmetics industry in the province and play a bridging role for overseas expansion."

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna celebrates its 53rd anniversary this year. It is one of the world's top three beauty exhibitions, participated by 2,700 companies from 71 countries.

The exhibition was held in Italy for 4 days from April 28 to May 1.
