CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Saongwon, a Home Meal Replacement (HMR) manufacturer, held a ceremony to commemorate the 27th anniversary of its foundation and plant completion on June 15 in Maengdong-myeon, Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do.

The company built a new factory on an area of 19,544 square meters by investing KRW 36.2 billion in Maengdong-myeon, where the Chungbuk Innovation City is located.

Saongwon has operated a factory in Daeso-myeon, Eumseong-gun, and built an additional factory to expand production capacity to meet the growing demand for Korean HMRs at home and abroad. Its headquarters will also be relocated to a new plant.

With the addition of a factory, it is expected to create 214 jobs.

An official from Eumseong-gun said, "The establishment of Saongwon's factory in Maengdong will be of great help in revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs."
