According to Yonhap News,

Chungju-si, Chungbuk-do announced on June 16 that it would provide support by introducing the 'Youth Enterprise Certification System' to foster young enterprises in the region.

Those eligible for applying for this system are SMEs in Chungju, where the youth between the ages of 19 and 39 are the leaders.

The average sales by industry, etc. must meet the qualification of SMEs.

Those with 5 or more full-time employees and less than a certain amount of sales in the wholesale/retail business, accommodation and restaurant businesses are also eligible.

Chungju-si enacted the 'Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of Young Enterprises' in April for the first time in the Chungbuk province to implement this system.

Companies that have been certified as a youth company are eligible for a variety of support, such as loan support from the SME Development Fund, preferential product purchase from youth companies, and support for sales channels development.

The certification is valid for 3 years.

The application period can be made any time of the year. The decision will be made after document screening and on-site due-diligence.
