Goesan-gun in Chungbuk is in a bid to be the first to food tech industry that is expected to be one of future industries to create jobs.
Goesan-gun announced on Aug. 11 it plans to find services for the vision and challenges of the industry.
In terms of the services, conditions of the region, analysis of the demand and food tech project suitable for the region will be included.
Goesan also will specify the roadmap for the food tech industry development on the basis of the results of the services.
Earlier, it pushed forward test-run projects with regard to the industry, including establishing a processing facility for domestic bean-used alternative food produce, setting up a hub complex for insect industry, and smart farming pilot projects.
The official said, "We will secure the future growth engine by expanding from safe foods of green and organic Goesan to food tech.
