CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Cheongju-si opened Yongam-dong Health and Life Support Center on Dec. 27.

As the first public health and medical institution established in Cheongju, the Health and Life support center focuses on helping residents to keep a health life while not providing medical services.

The city injected government funding worth KRW 49.4 thousand and began revamping the site in July.

The center is equipped with as many as 30 pieces of medical equipment. And it will run diverse programs, including free check-up of health indicators (blood pressure, blood sugar, and body component), physical activities, chronic disease prevention, and nutrition lectures.

Meanwhile, the rehabilitation center will operate exercise programs for the disabled and physically frail elderly.
