CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

The maternity and childcare allowance project, one of Chungbuk Governor Kim's pledges, will be implemented in the first half of 2023.

The province said that Chungbuk and Cheongju came to a conclusion while it had at odds over the project's cost-sharing ratio.

The province will fund 40 percent of the allowance and the city 60 percent.

After Chungbuk-do notified the result of the agreement with Cheongju-si to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the province started finalizing the agreement.

The province is in a bid to form a "Demographic Crisis Response Task Force" led by Governor Kim and will also operate a relevant advisory group.
