CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Chungbuk-do began to implement a project to create specialized hydrothermal energy complexes in Daecheong Lake and Chungju Lake as hydrothermal energy is gaining attention as future energy.

The province stated on Mar. 28 that it had completed the "basic design service for the development of an eco-friendly hydrothermal energy complex."

In terms of service, it was found suitable that creating a data center, smart farm, and logistics industrial complex is suitable for the complex.

Also, the province plans to promote the "Basic Plan and Feasibility Study research service the development of a Daecheing Dam hydrothermal energy complex" in the second half of 2023.

In addition, Chungbuk also secured a KRW 1.5 billion service cost, including government funding of KRW 500 million.
