According to Yonhap News,
Chungbuk Free Economic Zone (CBFEZ) held a briefing meeting at C&V center to announce the beginning of the research on 'how to make Osong an international city'.
The Chungbuk National University Medical Research Institute (CBUMRI) will be in charge of the research until February next year.
In the meeting, members of CBFEZ, officials of Cheongju city, representatives of Osong dwellers attended and debriefed CBUMRI on how the study will be implemented.
CBFEZ said they will come up with a blueprint, a city of 100,000, after reflecting the outcomes of the study.
Maeng Kyung-jae, the commissioner of CBFEZ said, "We will draw up a mid and long term road maps to ensure Osong grows to be a center of Korean as well as an international city."
