According to Yonhap News,

JS Energy, a manufacturer of secondary battery cathode materials, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its second plant (52,000㎡ of total building area) in the foreign investment zone in the Megapolis Industrial Complex in Chungju, Chungbuk-do.

The company signed an investment agreement worth KRW 600 billion with Chungbuk-do in December 2020 and built its first plant.

It plans to add the third plant in 2025 and produce more than 100,000 tons of cathode materials annually in Chungju alone.

JS Energy is a subsidiary of Ronbay, a leading company in the field of secondary battery materials in China.
