According to Yonhap News,
Boeun 3rd General Industrial Complex will be built by 2026 in Goseung and Sajik-ri, Tanbu-myeon, Boeun-gun, Chungbuk-do.
On October 30, Boeun-gun announced that the plan to create this industrial complex is about to go through residents review and urban planning deliberation by the end of this year after receiving a notice from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport last month.
The industrial complex, which will cost KRW 110 billion, including KRW 13 billion from Chugbuk balanced regional development projects, is planned to host chemical, metal and electrical equipment companies.
Boeun-gun added that six companies hoped to move into the industrial complex according to a recent survey of companies.
The county plans to start civil engineering work as early as the end of next year after carrying out compensation for land, among others, in next year.
In this area, there are Boeun National Industrial Complex (Naebuk-myeon) where Hanwha is located, Dongbu General Industrial Complex (Jangan-myeon), where Woojin Plaimm is located, as well as Boeun General Industrial Complex (Samseung-myeon) and three agricultural complexes (Boeun, Samseung, Jangan).
An official from Boeun-gun said, "As the occupation rate of industrial complexes in the area reached nearly 100%, it became necessary to respond to new demand for industrial land," adding, "We will act promptly to create industrial complexes in order to attract excellent companies."
