CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

On November 2, Chungbuk-do and Cheongju-si signed an investment agreement worth KRW 65 billion with Youngshin Quartz, a foreign-invested company which intends to build a new plant.

Youngshin Quartz plans to construct a quartz glass production plant for semiconductor manufacturing equipment in the foreign investment zone located in Ochang, Cheongju, by 2028.

The construction of this plant is expected to create 126 jobs.

The company pledged to make efforts to expand investment scale, use locally produced materials, and hire local residents first in the process of carrying out its project.

Chungbuk-do and Cheongju-si plan to provide administrative support for successful implementation of the project.
