On November 21, Boeun-gun, Chungbuk-do announced that it has signed an investment agreement worth KRW 30 billion with Hanil Food, a food manufacturer.
The company, which produces dumplings, udon and tempura, plans to build a factory on a 18,176 ㎡ site in Boeun General Industrial Complex by 2028 and relocate its headquarters from Cheongsan-myeon, Okcheon-gun.
The county expects it would lead to 120 jobs creation and an increase of local tax revenue.
An official from Boeun-gun said, "The Boeun General Industrial Complex has been sold out with the move-in of Hanil Food," adding, "We plan to create a new 3rd general industrial complex on 827,000㎡ in Goseung and Sajik-ri, Tanbu-myeon by 2026"
It will cost about KRW 110 billion, including KRW 13 billion from Chungbuk's four-stage balanced development project to establish the 3rd general industrial complex in Boeun.
