According to Yonhap News,
On June 13, Chungbuk-do held the Chungbuk K-Food Business Meeting (CKBM) at Grand Plaza Hotel.
The business meeting, held under the theme of "Chungbuk K-Food enjoyed around the world", was attended by 70 agri-food exporters in the province and 43 promising buyers from 10 countries selected by KOTRA.
At the site, there were face-to-face meetings between local companies and overseas buyers, KOTRA's free-of-charge support in the production of digital content for export products, and free consulting on international certification of agri-food by the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTR).
An export agreement was also signed, involving Chungbuk-do, the 100-year store cooperative association, and the industry-academic cooperation group of Cheongju University.
The agreement is concerned about exporting meal kits worth USD 10 million (KRW 13.6 billion) of the 100-year stores through Chungbuk's agri-food stores in the US and Thailand over the next five years.
An official from the province said, "this CKBM is a great opportunity to promote Chungbuk's quality agri-foods around the world," adding that "we will expand marketing support projects to help more K-food to enter overseas markets."
