CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

Doowon Heavy Industries, which produces defense industry products and auto parts, will build a new factory in Okcheon Techno Valley, Chungbuk-do.

On September 12, Okcheon-gun announced that it has signed an MOU on investment worth KRW 50 billion with the company.

Headquartered in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, Doowon Heavy Industries produces parts for defense, ship engines, and auto industries.

With the 12,763㎡ of site in Okcheon Techno Valley that it recently took over, the company plans to build a factory and others by 2029.

An official from the Okcheon said, "The plant in Okcheon is planned to hire more than half of its 100 workers from local residents."
