Jecheon-si, Chungbuk-do signed an MOU on investment with 3 companies including Fine Investment, for construction of eco-friendly renewable energy data center on September 30.
The city is pushing for the project to build a KRW 500 billion data center using eco-friendly renewable energy on the 66,000 ㎡ site in the fourth industrial complex, in which Fine Investment will be responsible for review of the feasibility of the data center and renewable energy development, and fundraising.
Valmax Technology Corporation will be in charge of developing and investing in 200MWh eco-friendly renewable energy power plants, to be supplied to the data center, while Namsa Dream Energy will be in charge of developing the data center.
A city official said, "this agreement is the first step to building the power infrastructure, a key to the operation of the data center," adding that "we will do our best through collaboration with three companies to see this project to fruition."
