On October 6, Chungbuk-do and Chungbuk Branch of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced that they dispatched a trade delegation to Bangkok, Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on September 24-29 and achieved export contracts worth USD 26.59 million (equivalent of KRW 35.5 billion).
Ten promising local exporters, including SOMA, C.L Medisys, Taewoong Food, and Mignon Korea. participated in the delegation.
SOMA, a feed additives producer, signed an export contract worth USD 10 million on site.
Mignon Korea, an eyelash curl supplier, and C.L Medisys, a skincare product producer for skin experts, also signed export contracts worth USD 2 million and USD 1.94 million, respectively.
A provincial official said, "our exporters' excellent product quality and high interest of Thai and Vietnamese consumers in health and skincare have been combined to make such a great achievement," adding "we will continue to support the overseas expansion of local companies".
