According to Yonhap News,

On September 15th, Cheongju-si announced that it will hold export consultations in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to help local SMEs enter overseas markets.

The event, which will run until September 18th, will involve 8 local companies and more than 40 overseas buyers, featuring one-on-one consultations and "export consultation visits," where local companies will visit the business premises of overseas buyers.

Kazakhstan is a strategic market, serving as a logistics hub in Central Asia, with high demand and interest in Korean cosmetics and food products.

Kyrgyzstan, with a recent annual economic growth rate of 9%, is an emerging market where purchasing power is rapidly expanding, particularly among young consumers.

A city official stated, "This consultation meeting is expected to contribute to diversifying export markets for SMEs, expanding overseas networks, and generating tangible trade results amid the uncertain trade environment. We will continue to actively support SMEs' entry into emerging markets."

Last year, the event was held only in Kyrgyzstan, where 5 companies and over 30 overseas buyers participated, resulting in 12 contracts (worth USD 7.26 million).
