According to Yonhap News,
Cheongju City will operate a Seoul office which will serve as a bridge with the central government.
Cheongju City said on January 10th that it plans to hold a ceremony to open a Seoul office, which will be established in Dangsan-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on January 14th.
The City decided to open a Seoul office to efficiently push ahead with projects such as investment attraction and to maintain close cooperative relationship with the central government. Earlier this month, the City dispatched two public officials to the office.
The Seoul office will identify main projects of the central government that can be associated with Cheongju City, and devise plans to secure the state fund.
An official of Cheongju City said “the Seoul office is aimed to maintain cooperative relationship with the central government, secure state fund for Cheongju, and obtain information necessary for projects.”
Cheongwon-gun and Yeongdong-gun of Chungbuk-do (North Chungcheong Province) have Seoul offices.
