According to Yonhap News,
Chungju city in North Chungcheong Province said on July 20 that it completed a green village project on 100 households in the city.
The city invested KRW 1.7 billion to install photovoltaic system including solar panel on 100 households this year.
The photovoltaic system can save the household KRW 66,000 a month in electricity bill.
A city official said that the city will continue to support the installment of photovoltaic system so that more and more households can benefit from the green village project.
Last year, the city supported installing photovoltaic system on 104 households, and it plans to do the same on 133 households in the second half of this year.
The green village project aims to build a house that generates electricity with renewable energy.
