Gangwon and Chungbuk Join Hands for Pyeongchang Winter Olympics

According to Yonhap News,

Gangwon and Chungbuk Provinces decided to cooperate for the success of 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

On July 19, governors of the two provinces signed an agreement to cooperate for 2018 winter Olympics.

Under the agreement, the two provinces will carry out joint promotional activities home and abroad. They will also cooperate for the construction of infrastructure including highways linking cities in Chungbuk and Pyeongchang, and promote the use of airports in both provinces for convenience of athletes and foreign tourists.

They will also strengthen exchanges in sports, and cooperate on volunteer activities, various arts performance and joint marketing.

Governor of Gangwon province said “we will make utmost efforts to enhance the brand image of Korea through the winter Olympics."
