According to Yonhap News,

Chungbuk FTA Forum Committee said that it sent a letter to 8 members of the National Assembly, calling for　ratification of KORUS FTA in a plenary session of the National Assembly.

In the letter, the committee stated that a delayed ratification of KORUS FTA will weaken a strategic partnership between the two countries, putting Korea at a disadvantage compared with other countries that signed FTAs with the US, amid a fierce competition to secure the global market.

The committee continued to say that the KORUS FTA　will provide a great benefit to both countries, and companies expect the US to become an economic hub for Korea.
