According to Yonhap News,
North Chungcheong Province has unveiled its five-year plan to support development project implemented by seven local governments whose financial condition lag behind their counterparts in other regions.
The province will invest 14 billion won in establishing a comprehensive logistics center and Korean beef center in Goisan and spend 13 billion won in cultivating and promoting Yeongong's wine and Korean traditional music industries.
The province will also support Boeun to build a comprehensive industrial complex and sport park and Okcheon to establish a cutting-edge industrial complex and the second medical complex. It will also provide 13 billion won-worth financial supports to help Danyang build a theme park and natural recreation forests.
The province plans to spend 12 billion won to build a ginseng sales center for Jeungpyeong and to cultivate an automotive component industrial cluster for Jecheon, respectively.
"We will offer all possible administrative supports to help the designated projects become the major force of our regional economy," said Park Yong-eun, a Chungbuk official said.
