According to Yonhap News,
The 2012 Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Documentary (ABU Doc) Congress, organized by Korea Broadcasting Service (KBS), was held in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province from June 4 to 7.
ABU is one of the world's top three international broadcasting organizations with 220 members from 60 countries in the Asia and Pacific region. ABU Doc is designed to share documentary programs produced by ABU members.
This year's congress brought together 30 documentary producers from 13 broadcasting companies including China's CCTV, Japan's NHK, Malaysia's RTM, Turkey's TRT and Iran's IRIB.
Director of ABU said, "The congress will provide the future direction of Asia's TV documentary programs."
KBS submitted a documentary titled "KBS Special-a Korean's life after Defection," featuring lives of North Korean defectors who start a new life in America and Europe.
