CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

According to Yonhap News,

North Chungcheong Province (Chungbuk) saw a year-on-year increase of 4.7 percent to $992 million last month, according to Chungbuk's export & import trend report, released by Cheongju Customs.

By item, the growth was driven by electronics (21.1%), chemical products (20.8%), precise devices (14.7%) and general machinery (25.0%), while its major export product semiconductor (-8.1%) declined a little bit.

Its accumulated export stands at $6.693 billion this year.

Chungbuk has kept posting trade surplus since January, 2009. Last month, it recorded the trade surplus of $387 million.
