The Central Chungcheongbuk-do (province) Tourism Council held a meeting to discuss joint-projects with local governments of the central region of the province. They agreed to invest 188 million won to co-develop tourism resources and entice more tourists via joint-marketing strategies, which will result in stimulating the regional tourism industry and economy.
Cheongju City and Cheongwon-gun (county) introduced domestic and overseas trade fairs and the central Chungcheongbuk-do's tourism souvenirs, respectively.
Jincheon-gun decided to hold a workshop to facilitate the local tourism industry, Goisan-gun have a tourism seminar to promote the central region's tourism industry and Eumseong launch a street parade in Seoul to attract tourists.
Founded in 2005, the tourism council is comprised of Chungcheongbuk-do and six cities and counties - Cheongju, Cheongwon, Jeungpyeong, Jincheon, Goisan and Eumseong.
