According to Yonhap News,
Easter Jet, a low-cost airline, is scheduled to open the first regular flight with 149 seats between Cheongju International Airport and Shenyang, China from next Wednesday, according to Chungcheongbuk-do (province).
The airline will increase the number of regular flights up to three per week from April.
It is the first time that the regular flight between Cheongju and Shenyang is opened since the establishment of Cheongju International Airport in 1997. The route between the two regions had thus far been operated on an irregular basis. Last year, China Southern Airlines operated chartered planes between the two regions during summer vacation that lasted from July 28 to August 29.
Cheongju International Airport operates two regular flights to Hangzhou abd Bangkok and irregular flights to six regions including Kaohsiung.
