CHUNGCHEONGBUK-DO < invest Korea

The Chungbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (CFEZA) has opened.

At the 319th special meeting held on the 24th, the Chungcheongbuk-do Provincial Council voted for a CFEZA establishment scheme submitted by North Chungcheong Province, and the scheme passed the council. With this achievement, an inauguration ceremony for CFEZA was held on April 26.

The authority comprising 47 personnel has a planning and general affairs department, a project development department, an investment promotion department, and Chungju’s branch office. Each of them has two to three teams. The authority has jurisdiction over the Osong Bio-Medical District, the Research, Tourism and Business District, Aero-Polis, and Eco-Polis.

North Chungcheong Province plans to publicly seek applications to find a CFEZA commissioner this month.
