Eumseong County announced that it attracted investment of KRW 1.4870 trillion from 29 companies, resulting in 5,526 job creation.

Currently the county is promoting establishment of Wonnam Industrial Complex, Gamgok Industrail Complex and Saenggeuk Industrial Complex. The Saenggeuk complex will hold its groundbreaking ceremony Thursday to begin construction.

Development of Taesaeng Industrial Complex is also under review.

The county signed agreements with automobile parts companies to move into industrial complexes with opening of the national route 21. Companies are continuously moving into Eumseong despite difficult economic circumstance.

The Jungbu Expressway, Central Inland Highway and the Dongseo Expressway which will be opened in August are close to Eumseong, and five national routes and nine local roads go through the county with which the Cheongju international airport in 25-minute commute, making the county best location for transportation.

When the Dongseo Expressway opens, cargo volume from Eumseong to Pyeongtaek port is forecast to increase, attracting more companies to Eumseong.
