The Saenggeuk Industrial Complex held its groundbreaking ceremony yesterday.

The industrial complex will be built on a 457,634m2 site with an investment of KRW 56 billion. It will also have neighborhood parks and mini parks.

The complex will be equipped with water pollution prevention facilities which treat industrial waste water and life sewage produced from industrial facilities to minimize environment pollution.

The Saenggeuk Industrial Complex applied for its designation and approval of an enforcement plan to North Chungcheong Province October 2011, and was approved in April 2012.

Lee Pil-yong, governor of Eumseong County, noted that the industrial complex will contribute to employment and regional economy facilitation, adding that the county will provide its support.

An official of an organizing committee for the complex also said that he is grateful to begin construction of the complex with the support from residents, and the committee will endeavor for the development of the region.
